I went to a rodeo. Yes, you read that correctly Ashley Cottrell went to a rodeo. Perhaps even more amazing is that Emily went too. We had such a fun time! I thought it would be boring and hick infested, but it was much, much better than I expected. So after the fun at the rodeo I called my friend, Natalie, and we went to her house to visit. It had been a long time since I had been there and it was so good so see her (and her parents) again! Love ya Natalie!

Something happened to me that caused me a lot of unhappiness. Someone that I loved very much was all of a sudden out of my life and I found myself very distraught and sad, something I usually am not. I now realize that all things happen for a reason. I had to endure some temporary unhappiness, and I'm sure there will be more to come, but in the end I will be a better, stronger, happier person. It's amazing how a nice long talk with someone about your feelings can really bring things into focus. I am so thankful for everything that has happened to me, both good and bad equally. I am thankful for my wonderful friends that love me and support me. Life is good. =)

Oh man, I had some bread in the proofer rising before I baked it. I forgot to set the timer and when I finally remembered the bread it was swollen up over the top two racks!! I have never seen bread that big! *lol* Fortunately the boss didn't get mad at me. *whew*

Ok, enough Subway talk. I'm so excited about this weekend. Rachel and I are taking Emily out for her b'day, not to mention our date with Mike! *grins* I have a good feeling about this summer, and I'm sure I'm gonna have lots of fun. I don't however know how mom and I are going to get along. She got mad at me Monday night because I got home at 11:15. This makes no sense because I can go out on a date with a guy and she doesn't mind if I get home at like 11:45 or 12:00. (depending on who I'm with) I can usually stay out till 11:30 with my friends too. She fussed at me when I got home saying she was so worried because she didn't know where I was which is a bunch of crap (Rebecca's word! haha) because I plainly told her that I was going to Emily's house to watch a movie. I was just telling her that Emily said her parents are getting on her nerves too. Mom and I had a talk about it, and she said we are like baby birds getting ready to leave the nest, but can't quite yet. This is so true! I just hope I can make it through the summer!

I watched Coyote Ugly Saturday night for the first time. It is my new favorite movie! It is such a great movie! Adam Garcia is officially the hottest guy I have ever seen! Hmm, maybe I'll go rent the movie again . . . ;)

    <lj:music>Eve 6 - Here's To Tonight</lj:music>

. . . is an amazing thing. I have just recently realized just how intuitive I am about things. I have learned never to go against your intuition no matter how bad you want to. I went against my intuition once and something bad happened. I don't know why I didn't turn around because there were tons of signs all through the night that I, well we (Rachel was with me), shouldn't have been where we were. After that night I have become so aware of bad vibes about everything; even simple things. I think everyone had the ability to use their intuition, but most people just override it, or don't use it to it's full potential. Hmm, food for thought...

Letting go is a very difficult thing. Even though I know that things weren't right, and that it wasn't working, it's still hard to let go. Some days are better than others. Today was a bad one. However, just having the promise that God will take me though it is all I need. I will be fine. :)

Gosh, I am so glad I have my journal! It helps so much to just sit down and write out everything. I feel so much better now. :D

Oh wow, I had so much fun at prom! But first let me back up to Friday night. We stayed up till a little after 2:00 a.m. to decorate! I was so pooped; I came home and just fell in the bed. Saturday began at 9:30. I had to get some stuff before I got my hair done then I grabbed a bite to eat. I took a nap in my car in the Krystal parking lot! *lol* Then I went to get my hair done. I loved how it looked! :) Then I got home and did my make up and got ready. Josh showed up with flowers, pink roses to be exact. They were beautiful! How sweet! Then we went to Emily's house to eat. Yum, yum. After that we went to the school to get in line for the grand march. There were so many people there! I couldn't believe it! Fortunately I didn't fall down the stairs! *whew*

Inside prom was so fun!! I had such a great time! :) Needless to say we danced every single song!! It ended too soon in my opinion. After prom Josh and I ran to Wal-Mart to find individually wrapped tic taks and they didn't have any. I still don't believe they exist! Then I went to Rae's house to spend the night. I have to say it was interesting . . . Jordan smacked my butt one too many times, Candace and I spent the night talking about going to get someone (I wish we could have gotten him...I had on my red heart pants and everything! shew, is it hot in here? *lol*), and then everything else that I'm not even going into detail about! haha. We sprayed this adhesive stuff and then dumped glitter on them. By the time we got them all done we were covered in glitter! It was impossible to get off. What a mess!! Emily, Loni, and I built the most beautiful bench, well as beautiful as it could be using cardboard. Everyone else said it looked like a box. Mr. B started laughing at it! Oh well, I think it's the most beautiful "bench" ever! *lol* After today's mess I am dressing so skanky tomorrow!

It's been a while since I posted a public entry! To begin, I went to my cousin David's wedding this weekend. I had such a great time! Noelle, the bride, did some very cool things with her wedding that were nontraditional. To begin with she didn't have a ring bearer or a flower girl. The bridesmaids carried little brass lanterns with lit candles in them instead of the usual bouquet. One of the neatest things was after they said their vows the minister turned to the congregation and asked us if we promised to support them, pray for them, etc. The most interesting thing about the wedding, as weird as it sounds, was that instead of a piano playing the wedding march there was a guy that played the bag pipes!! I thought that was great! The reception was really fun too. There were a bunch of people my age out there dancing. We had a great time!! The wedding was a total reflection of Noelle's personality, fun and very creative!

I'm actually starting to get excited about prom. I know I really will be when we get in and start decorating and especially on Saturday getting my hair done and stuff. I hope they get it right this year. When I went in the 9th grade I never thought I would make it on time. I got home to find Ryan pacing the floor and having a cow cause I was so late. Oh well, everything worked out great and we had a good time. I just need to stop eating till Saturday! haha. I've noticed that last week and this week all of us girls have been eating like crazy! I think it's cause we know we shouldn't be, which only provokes us to eat more! Ah, my dress ties up in the back so I can loosen it if I need to! haha.

Here lately I have been feeling so great about my life and who I am. I realize that I don't have to put up with things that bring me down. I don't have to listen to the negative comments about my character because the people that say those things don't really care about me anyway. I've been surrounding my self with positive things and it makes all the difference in the world. Ok, I know I sound like an episode of Oprah but that's ok! haha. I'm just happy being me! :-D

I have had a pretty good day! :) I made a 100 on another chem test! yippie! I just got back from church and all I can say is whoa! We had a service and a half! I love hearing that preacher preach! :) It was funny to talk to Josh after church because he had been playing the drums and to beat it all he was playing behind plexiglas; he couldn't hear anything! lol Well I don't have much more to say so I'm gonna go and do my homework like a good little girl.

In one of my journal entries I put that I needed to have a good weekend. Well my friends definitely came through on that! :-D Friday night Emily and Rachel spent the night. Not much happened, but we still had fun. Then came Saturday night...I had sooo much fun! I went out with Rachel and we met Candace Lewis in Pennington. We took a spin in her convertible. I love that car!! :) It was so nice to have a change of scenery from M-boro, and I know more people from Lee High anyway. :) Well, I'm gonna go now. I'll write more later.
